LAKE ELMO, MN — Tom Emmer, Republican candidate for governor, attended a Senate District 56 meet-and-greet at Gorman’s Restaurant in Lake Elmo. State House candidate Kathy Lohmer joined Emmer in speaking to the attendees at the two hour event. Tom answered questions before signing hockey pucks and posing for photos to close the meeting.
Half of the 35 people who attended admitted that this is the first year that they have been involved in political activism. Most were concerned about Minnesota’s economic prosperity. Questions about jobs and taxes dominated the discussion.
Tom wished to thank Ed Gorman for hosting the event at his restaurant and those in attendance for getting active in local and state politics.
