Emmer leads the pack in Pioneer Press online poll

SAINT PAUL – Tom Emmer won more than half the vote in an online poll held by the Pioneer Press for a story about the 2010 gubernatorial race. At 9:10pm on Tuesday, Emmer was leading the contest with a share of 61.2% or 769 votes out of 1,257. Seifert and Anderson polled at 18.8% and 11.5% respectively.

The Pioneer Press ran a story Tuesday morning about who they deemed the front-runners in the 2010 Minnesota gubernatorial race. The story was accompanied by polling widgets so readers could voice their opinion in the Republican and Democratic races. The online poll showed that Pioneer Press readers did not agree with the article’s writer by choosing a different candidate as the front-runner in both the GOP and DFL contests.
